Insulation pad inspection cycle

Release time:

The inspection cycle of insulation pads is one year or five years, mainly based on:

Insulation pad composition:

Insulating pads are mainly made of rubber insulating materials, such as NR, SBR and IIR, which are non-polar rubbers with excellent insulating properties.

Insulation pad features:

There should be no harmful irregularities on the upper and lower surfaces of the insulating pad.

Harmful irregularities refer to any of the following characteristics, that is, those that destroy uniformity and damage the smooth contour of the surface, such as small holes, cracks, local ridges, cuts, inclusions of conductive foreign matter, folds, gaps, concave and convex ripples and casting marks.

Harmless irregularities refer to surface irregularities formed during the production process. Good quality insulating pads have no odor, no bubbles, no pits, and a smooth, neat and clean surface.

Insulation pad thickness measurement:

More than 5 different points should be randomly selected on the entire insulation pad for thickness measurement and inspection. Micrometer or instrument of the same accuracy can be used for measurement. The accuracy of the micrometer should be within 0.02mm, the diameter of the drill should be 6mm, the diameter of the flat presser foot should be (3.17±0.25)mm, and the presser foot should be able to apply a pressure of (0.83±0.03)N. The insulation pad should be placed flat so that the micrometer measurement is smooth.
